Canvas reinforcement fabric should always be used when making repairs to highly flexible leathers and vinyls that have a continuous tear or hole that reaches all the way to the padding underneath the leather.

The reinforcement fabric should be cut at least 1.5 cm (diameter) larger than the hole to be repaired. After the reinforcement fabric is in place, it should be glued and processed to lie "flat" so that no outline of the reinforcement fabric can be seen on the top side.
