Reverse function tweezers are designed with a lock and release handle.

This basically means that they work in the opposite way to most tweezers, i.e. instead of squeezing the handle to lock the tweezers, you release them by squeezing the handle.

This makes it much easier to, for example, insert the reinforcement fabric behind leather & vinyl when repairing holes.
